I have a booking between MCO & MAN on VS76 on VH H class PE tickets.
What does anyone think the chances are of upgrading these to Upper using miles?
We have enough miles for the 2 tickets as i understand that H class fares are now upgradeable.
Next question:
Is there any easy way to find the availability of these upgrades without trawling the VA website day in, day out ? :-)

Thanks
Steve

The chances depends on when you fly and you don't give the date!

You have to keep looking yourself on the VS website.

However you mention'VH H class' if you mean Virgin Holidays then you have to go through them not direct to VS to do the upgrade

Sorry - We'd be flying in June Next year - 15th to be exach from MCO to MAN.

Yes, booked through Virgin Holidays, so i would then assume that they wouldn't take miles for the upgrade, only cash.

Oh well, looks like we'll be sticking with PE then :-)

Was worth inquiring though :-)
Thanks

June is more possible than July or August, Easter, Christmas and half term.

I'm not an expert in V Holidays and if they can do miles upgrades or not so I'd give them a ring to ask.

The general rule is that if you want to upgrade you have to go via the people you booked with not the people you fly with. You certainly couldn't do a miles upgrade via an on line travel agent but VHols have a special relationship with VS so more is possible.

Having just upgraded my outbound flight recently which was booked through VH I can tell you that you do not go through VH to upgrade. You must have paid enough of the holiday to cover the cost of the flight. Then you have to convince VH to issue the tickets which takes several days. Once the tickets are issued you need to check the VS web site for miles flight availability and then call the flying club to upgrade normally.
