Just want to say that I live vicariously through all of the clubhouse posts! We are going over to London for my guy's birthday in November and are splashing out on PE. Looking forward to racking up points in an attempt to try and get us upgraded on another trip in a couple years!

The last (and only) time we've had the good fortune to enjoy UC on VA was 20 years ago. We had just gotten married in London and were flying back home. As it was right after the the holidays (Jan. 4th), LHR was a zoo. We were traveling Econ and arrived hours in advance to check in. Even though we confirmed the night before VA couldn't give us two seats together at the desk but said have a word with the crew in the boarding area and they would be able to get us sorted. We went to the boarding area and it was jam packed - had to sit on the floor packed. We asked the crew at the desk if there was any way to get us seats together and they said that once they started boarding they'd be able to help us out. They then called boarding, and as we started to board the plane I explained to the cabin crew that we were married just two days before, my husband was sick and could they please get us two seats together for the flight back to LA. As it was such a full flight the attendant said to me just please take your seats and we'll get something sorted later. Well that did it - in the middle of the aisle I burst into tears! I didn't mean to but I was just so exhausted and emotional. The crew were so kind and felt so horrible they pulled us aside, let us sit at the UC bar, gave me a glass of juice and said "just wait a moment". A few minutes later they returned, said "Congratulations on your wedding!" and handed us our boarding cards. They changed the seats to Upper Class!

So yes, I had flown VA loads of times from LA to London before but that's when the hooked us for life :D So please - keep waving - I'm right there with you!

I am sure there are many a V Flyer (me included) who share your delight about postings from Clubhouses - if nothing else, it helps getting through those dreary days at work before their next visit ;-)

Do not forget to add your November trip itinerary to the Site; you never know there may be a kind V Flyer travelling on the same flights who can offer a guest visit to a Clubhouse.
