Indeed, as confirmed back in February.
Let's hope they've done a good job with the Clubhouse!
Had a chat with one of the LGW CH staff a couple of weeks ago about the new one. All she really knew is that it was going to be a little bit bigger size-wise, and that the rock will sadly not be making an appearance, apparently because of worries over children climbing on it and falling off, etc.
My next flight is 25th Feb out of Gatwick so I look forward to using the new CH and will give a wave when I get there.
We'll be staying at the Hampton so not only do I have to find a new check in and a new club house but also find my way to the terminal. (I don't like change!)

Haha! It's very easy, if you're coming from the South Terminal the corridor that leads to the transit station is next to the main entrance to the rail station.
On arrival at the North Terminal stay on the same level, go inside the terminal and you'll find yourself in the Easyjet bag drop area. Bear right, to the far end of the check-in hall, and you'll see the corridor leading to the Hampton.
In the morning just head up one level from the EZY check-in for VS check-in and security.

We are flying from LGW in March to LAS - looking forward to seeing the new CH.
Bit of a longer walk from the BLOC hotel which we use now, never a bad thing.

I think North terminal is awful. It's ok for your lucky folk that can use the Clubhouse and V room but for the rest of us poor mortals.......not nice.

As pat of the terminal switch LGW are also making other improvements.
Plus if you want a lounge the #1 is available (and once BA have moved out from it it will return back to 'normal')
Huzzah for International Jet-setting !
Agreed the North Terminal is showing its age but Gatwick's owners have pledged to refurbish it as they have the South.
I take it with the move to the north it wont affect flight times you just have to remember to go to the north terminal ;)
We are flying to ANU on Jan 6th, Can I assume the south terminal clubhouse will still be available?
It should be, yes. Unlike BA, VS have had no need to close it during the transition.
Thanks, Used no 1 North last Month and it was pretty poor with all BA passengers using it
