Hi all. Little bit excited as turning left in a few days for the first time. Anyway I am a bit of a plane geek (in the closet). What are the chances of visiting the flight deck before departure. I know the rules once moving but would love to have a look before take off.

Thanks

All you can do is ask the FSM once you get on-board and see what they say.

I would think it highly unlikely that this would be allowed.

Took my kids up to the flight deck to meet the pilots no problem about 12 month ago on the Atlanta flight, but not sure if there have been any changes to the rules since then. you can only ask!

This is actually allowed on the ground only while at the gate, just ask the FSM or whoever is at the boarding door and they will ask the flight crew and depending on how busy they are they will most likely say yes.

I asked earlier this year for my first 787 flight. It helped that the FO was running an hour late after boarding (!) so ended up chatting to the Capt for a good 15 minutes. I did a TR about the flight if you search through my posts.
