Oh, and just adding to this, I have just seen a post on the Virgin Red Twitter feed saying that sharing codes can get you disqualified.

Be careful guys.

Cheers

As outlined in the Terms and Conditions: http://blog.virginred.com/v-marks-the-spot-ts-and-cs/

4.6 We may disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the Competition including posting any codes related to Coins in this Competition online or otherwise making them available to other Entrants.

Ahh thanks for making us aware of that Lastwookieman and MrInstants.

There is no malicious intent here, just a Virgin frequent flyer forum trying to help each other out.

Bye Dave :-D

On the subject of code discussions... have the phone box codes been installed yet? or are there still 'technical difficulties'? - I bet it is those VS IT hamsters!!

Absolutely agree and I have enjoyed being part of it. I personally thing it's been good with people sharing!!

But better to know the risks than not!!

Now I know v-flyer is here I will use more often!!

Re the phone boxes, they have been installed all around the country but as posters rather than using the screens as they couldn't get them to work. A few codes have been posted on here from them.

Cheers

As this is a Virgin-based forum they will be aware of this thread and have been reminding people on twitter of the consequences of posting codes online - disqualification.

If a moderator reads this it may well be a good idea to close the thread and pin a Ts & Cs reminder http://blog.virginred.com/v-marks-the-spot-ts-and-cs/ in particular section 4.6. Hopefully nobody here falls foul of the rules.

Wouldn't think that is necessary, since being made aware of the rules the conversation has swung back to discussing and providing clues to coin locations.

Whilst we may not be able to post the coin codes themselves, we can still have some fun by inventing further clues or posting links to help people out. All in good fun and faith here..

Richard Branson was not in Austin Powers?! Seems like his kind of movie ;-)

There was a tie up between the Austin Powers movie and Virgin Atlantic in the US (at least). I remember seeing a billboard in LA at the time and thought I had a picture of same but can't find it at the moment. There is this though.
