Firstly, the reason for this post is to ask if anyone knows what the name of aircraft registered and G-VRUM (cn. 23048)

Secondly, in my research I unearthed what appears to be a great story behind this.

This is the first detail I can find on 23048 is here, registered with Cathay Pacific
http://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=379276

Then obviously in for a while it was registered with VS before being stored in the Mojave, being used by European Air Charter and Southern Winds.

And this is the last entry, having been saved from the desert now seems to have gone full circle.

If anyone does know the name when registered with VS, please let me know.

Paul

Indeed, according to the FAQ, that's what happened ;)

Now, from our V-F jaunt to Mojave, we know the following aren't there:
G-VZZZ Morning Glory
G-VPUF High As A Kite
G-VIBE Spirit of New York
- anyone any info on where these are?

Cheers

It looks like ZZ and BE went to Transaero. The last record I could find of UF was that it escaped Mojave and went to San Antonio (like the others which went to Transaero), but never left.

Found the same site :D

G-VPUF went to Transaero as VP-BQC, but is currently stored again by them
G-VZZZ went to Transaero as N702TA and is currently active
G-VIBE went to Wells Fargo Bank Northwest as N701TA, but is currently stored again by them

Looks like G-VRUM was actually last with Southern Winds as LV-AZF, but is currently stored again by them..

Cheers

Great minds and all that :D

This page from that site is actually very handy ... albeit missing a few details from the new A346's that will be arriving shortly.

Where do you dig these links up from, its even in an old style (yet some of the detail is surprisingly up to date).

It's always been there - just not easy to find ;) It's only in the "old style" if you do a direct link to an FAQ (like what I did above) - if you go to this page, it's in the new style :) I'm currently working on updating some of the content to be re-publicised :)

As far as I can tell, that only has current fleet though - nothing on the history...:)

Ok, current & retired fleets now completed (looks like I was right about G-VRUM above too).

Cheers

My first VS flight was on G-VRUM.
Gallery Entertainment, but had the bigger screens and skymap unlike the other Gallery planes.
