Just flew to New York on G-VOWS, and all in all it was a good flight. One question, though: the website says the beds are 6ft 6in, but when I lay with my head pushed right up against the window, my feet only just fitted on the ottoman. I'm 6ft 2in... I was in seat 1A. Are these beds perhaps shorter because of the tapering of the aircraft at the front?

Can't comment from first-hand experience regarding the 787 but the width at 1A in the A330 seemed to be the same as all the others. The fuselage shouldn't start taping until quite forward as it would be extremely expensive to start making variable size frames (even more so with the 787 - which uses composite barrels rather than traditional aluminium).

i'm similar height and found the same, the 787 UC suite foot area is narrower than the original UC suite

for the claimed size i assume they measure between the two extremes, but as that means they are the tips of the pointy bits, the usable length really is less

don't think it matters which row, they are all the same size

overall it's better than the 333 dream suite, but the original UC size/shape was best i think
