Booking reward flight with connection

Hello all,

Long-time lurker, first-time poster (ish!). I'm going to be booking an Upper Class reward, but I'm going to Elmira (a Delta connection from Detroit). Is it the case that the reward redemption gets me as far as Detroit, and the rest of the fare is payable separately? Maybe wishful thinking to wonder if the reward might include a connection .

Absolutely, just call Virgin & book your reward flight on miles and pay money for the Delta flight. You'll have a single booking reference with all flights showing on MMB on both Virgin & Delta websites
