Miles only Reward Sale flight . Change of Date help required

Hi there.
Can you please help me regarding this question. If I book a Full Miles flight in the reward sale therefore saving 30% miles. eg Flight to NYC 24,500 each way plus applicable taxes. If at a later date (after the reward sale, say next month) I wish to change to dates of my flight, do I simply pay £30 to change the date if they have availability, or do they also charge me the extra miles and treat it as a new booking ? If the latter was the case then I wouldn't actually have enough miles !! Thanks for any help. KR .

A date change on a reward flight does indeed come with a £30 fee.

If the reward seat sale has ended when you change the date, VS would indeed require the full amount of miles as well.

They would refund your other booking first & then book the new flight.
So you would pay whatever mileage is required at that time.

Ok, thanks for the info. I have just tried ringing the FC and asked the same question the operator thought that I would just pay the £30 fee if I needed to change to dates at a later date and not pay the full miles, but I'm wasn't sure that would actually be the case. I wouldn't want to book then if I do need to change the dates and find I wont then have enough miles if they then said I would need to pay the full miles !
I guess if I am going to book during the reward sale period and use all of my vailable miles I need to make sure I am confident of travelling on these dates, or if I do need to change them hope the dates would be available in the next reward sale !!
