I'm sure it will empty out shortly but it's the busiest I've seen it.

The trip down was uneventful although 4 airports in one day, Edinburgh to Dublin to Heathrow to Gatwick meant a very peaceful nights sleep in the Hilton.

I decided on Tristar as my mode of transport from Heathrow to Gatwick as it was much the same price as the rest of the cars but also got a few mile :D

Nice new merc and a very chatty driver - do you know they only pay 79p for a large coffee, there are managers that secretly check the cleanliness of the cars and his car had just been filled with ad blue ;-) lol

Anyways installed in the clubhouse, great welcome back, feels like your family and a couple of glasses of champagne in hand.

Alls well :D

Morning David.

Glad all has started well. Hope CH empties soon ! We have a slight delay boarding as problems with attaching air bridge. Funny - it looks fine from the lounge window !!!

Have a good stay in the CH & a great flight and trip.

Mhmm, according to a pop up, v-flyer now saying 14.25 departure.

Ah well. Can't be helped. There's worse places to be.

David

Edit. And now confirmed by the PA. v-flyer 1st with all the news :-D

Ahhh....the day has arrived! Hope you had an enjoyable time in the Hilton Executive lounge last night and made full use of the offer there. I love the LGW CH so I'm sure the delay will pass quickly and you're right, worst places to be!

Have a fab flight and look forward to seeing the TRs.

:D thanks Jon. Bit of a long day yesterday but you've got to keep reminding yourself that going the long way round (i.e. Ex Dub) means 4 or 5 trips a year rather than just a couple.

Time for another

Hope you enjoyed your delay in the clubhouse, you will be on your way out now, it's a lovely day here in Orlando, weather forecast says a chance of a thunderstorm later, we had an impressive one come through last night, watched it from the balcony with a glass of wine in hand.
Enjoy your stay in SSR it's quite busy just now!
