Good evening everyone (or good whatever it is when you read this). Have you missed me? What do you mean you hadn't noticed I wasn't around? Sobs quietly in hanky.

No, seriously, greetings from a very busy CH though it does seem to be emptying in the last few minutes. I am accompanied by a glass of Lanson and OH, who is very used to taking second mention to a glass of fizz. I have a facial booked and we'll eat shortly.

This is the finale of an absolutely wonderful and memorable couple of months celebrating our umpteenth wedding anniversary (don't ask). We started with all the family together in Ireland. Only nine of us, but spread over four different locations on two continents, so getting all of us together is a rare event. We had a wonderful time though I am still disappointed that I didn't manage to meet Honey Lamb.

A brief return home to unpack and repack and OH and I flew to Antigua for the actual anniversary and a great fuss was made of us at the hotel. I've never drunk so much champagne! From Antigua we flew to EWR to spend a couple of weeks with No 2 son and family, which included a surprise visit to Washington DC. So here we sit, reflecting on all that has happened and feeling very blessed.

The fabulous scenery for our similar sized family reunion near Boot in the Lake District this year would hopefully compare well with your reunion in Ireland (though maybe HL will insist Ireland has better as a matter of principle?), so pleased you had such a wonderful time and followed it up with a super trip to Antigua (bet the rest of the family were jealous and want the next big reunion there) and the US.

As Marshy says,
Looking forward to all those TR's
, you've had your fun now so it's time to work on the TRs to entertain us please (perhaps with a few pictures to ice the cake?).
