Sitting in your own seat...

Very simple from my perspective, I look them straight in the eye, point out they're sitting in the wrong seat and continue to look them straight in the eye and say nothing more. If they then refuse to move the FSM can sort it our for - that's they're job not mine.

Only two words come to my mind. Damned Ignorant. I am afraid I really hate manners like this and all the disrespect for the rest of humanity that they imply.

The other thing is of course that much calculation goes on preflight to establish the loading and so on of the aircraft. And it takes into account the positioning of all the pax. I am not suggesting that one person forcing another to move is going to cause a crash. But there has to be a line drawn. And on all the flights I have been on the line has been "Sit in the seat you were assigned for take off and landing". We have all been on half full flights and watched the Y pax eyeing up empty rows, eyeing up each other, then sneaking over and hoping no one noticed!

Slightly off topic though, how would this scenario sit?
If you were travelling in UC and you wanted to swap with a friend in Economy (mad i know!). Would you be able to do this once take off had been completed, or do you think the FA would block a move like this?

Have done that before, but I did ask the cabin crew so they would not be surprised when suddenly someone else was sat in the seat.
