Each upgrade voucher can be used for

One PAX Each Way
Or
Two pax One way

So with your two vouchers
You can-yourself have 4 upgraded flights
Or
You and three others can have a O\W upgraded flight
Or
You + 1 can have two upgraded flights.

Basically one voucher can only be used for two flights.

There only has to be award availability in PE not Y.

Got another question...

As the vouchers are on my account would all the miles to cover the tickets have to come from my account?

Say
LHR-JFK 17500x2
JFK-LHR 17500x2

Would i need to have 70000 miles in my account or would i be able to use say 35000 from my account and then 35000 from my wifes?

And as the date on them is 11th October 2016 i would need to used them to book before the 11th October 2017?

I booked a flight for my partner recently and the miles had to come from my account in order to use my voucher.

The expiry date is the date by which the voucher must be redeemed, but the flight can be later.

I used my vouchers to upgrade my in-laws on flights booked with my husband's miles. I needed my in-laws permission to access the booking as it wasn't in my name but it didn't matter that I hadn't used my miles to book their flight.

You can use miles from more than one account; you need to make sure you are "approved" by the owner of that account to do this, so make sure they are beside you when you call if you haven't previously done that step.

You can't mix miles from two accounts to pay for one sector, so in your case for:
LHR-JFK 17500x2
JFK-LHR 17500x2
you could use:
70K from one account,
35Keach from two accounts,
52.5K from one account & 17.5K from the other one.
