Having searched the forum, there seem to be a number of posts which include details of the menus for PE and UC.4

For those of us who have to turn right when boarding, does anyone have details of the latest economy menu?

Thanks.

Thanks FlyGuy.

Will be on VS15 and VS28. My 16yo son is a fussy eater so just trying to get a feel for menus as it is a while since we last flew with VA

To give you an idea - I am not sure if it is still current, but our outbound menu to LAX last month was :-
Starter - Tabbouleh Salad - A Lebanese and Syrian salad of bulgur wheat seasoned with finely chopped parsley, mint, olive oil and lemon - a lot of bland leaves and not much else.

Mains - Chicken Teriyaki - A Japanese classic of salty sweet and sticky teriyaki sauce over chicken breast with jasmine rice and Japanese inspired mixed vegetables.

Loaded beef chilli melt - maple syrup glazed potato wedges with a rich’n’spicy beef chilli, jalapeño peppers and melting cheddar cheese.

Creamy mushroom farfalle bake - A sauce of mushrooms, cream and garlic smothered over pasta topped topped with fresh parsley and Italian cheese.

I had the beef and it was okay, but the menu writers made it sound a lot better then it turned out.

Sweet was a white chocolate and raspberry Gu pot. There were also some cheese and biscuits to finish off.

Later in the flight we had tea.

Mozzarella & slow roasted tomato pesto wrap with a delicious handmade treat from the Grown Up Chocolate Company alongside our Tyrell’s crisps and to nicely round off with Peppersmith mints.

On the return -
Starter - Mixed crunchy veg salad - a crisp salad of juicy sweetcorn, crunchy carrots and fresh salad leaves drizzled with a balsamic vinaigrette.

Mains - Beef bolognese pasta bake - Rich and tomatoey (sic) beef ragu tossed with penne pasta and topped with melting mozzarella and cheddar cheese.

Chicken and creamy mushroom - tender chicken pieces in creamy mushroom sauce with buttery mashed potatoes and broccoli florets.

Shahi Paneer Curry - chunky paneer pieces in a creamy tomato based curry with rice. (V)

This was followed by a sweet of Gu Lemon Cheesecake and cheese and biscuits.

Outbound menus from UK are all very similar at the moment, and same for LGW as Nottingham Nick has kindly provided.

Anyway, here are the requested menus:

VS15

Starter

Tabbouleh salad (v)
A Lebanese and Syrian salad of bulgur wheat
seasoned with finely chopped parsley, mint, olive oil
and lemon juice

Main meal
Served with Red or White wine and water

Chicken teriyaki
A Japanese classic of salty, sweet and sticky teriyaki
sauce over chicken breast, with jasmine rice and
Japanese inspired mixed vegetables

Loaded beef chilli wedge melt
Maple syrup glazed potato wedges loaded with a
rich ‘n’ spicy beef chilli, jalapenos peppers (for extra
kick) and melting cheddar cheese

Creamy mushroom farfalle bake (v) (c)
A sauce of mushrooms, cream and garlic
smothered over pasta, topped with fresh parsley
and Italian cheese. Mama-mia it's a-delicious!

Pudding

Gü Pud
A little pot of surprises

Afternoon tea
Enjoy a Cheddar cheese and British pickle
sandwich, with a delicious handmade treat from the
Grown Up Chocolate Company, alongside our
Tyrell’s crisps and to nicely round off with Peppersmith mints.

Served with your choice of tea or coffee

Unfortunately, the dreaded cheese and pickle finger sandwiches are back, and have replaced the wraps. This is on a trial basis, as the company looks to see where it can perhaps make some cutbacks.

VS28

Starters

Garden salad (v)
Mixed leaves with cucumber, tomato and carrot

Main meal

Served with Red or White wine and water
Balsamic peppered beef stew
Tender pieces of beef in a rich balsamic sauce with
buttered green beans and red bliss potatoes

Red Thai chicken curry
A fragrant red Thai curry with steamed rice and
oriental mixed vegetables

Pasta bake (v) (c)
Penne pasta baked in a cheese and tomato sauce
and topped with Italian hard cheese

Pudding
Eli's original cheesecake

Wakey, wakey
Before we land enjoy a light breakfast of:
Fresh seasonal fruit and yoghurt served with a
warm pastry

Served with your choice of tea or coffee

I hope that this helps Thedonkeycentrehalf. I hope you and your family have a wonderful flight! :D

Hey, is there any chance you can post the menus for VS1 & 2?

Travelling with an 11 year old with an adults appetite, so want to check he will be ok with the adult meals!
