And oh isn't it compact and bijou.

Relatively stress free trip down from Lincolnshire to Gatwick yesterday, pleasant night at the Hilton (food in exec lounge very poor). The ladies here in the lounge very helpful with slipping a redhead into my hand :-O and just about to devour a full breakfast.

Vegas here we come...

Good morning.

Enjoy your time in the "bijou " CH & have a great flight to follow.

A Good Morning wave from Cornwall to the oasis that is the LGW CH.

It is compact and bijou but friendly and very welcoming, more personal that some other CH's.

I love it and will be there in a few weeks. Make sure you book in for a treatment, although a tiny spa the girls are wonderful.

Sadly I will also be staying at the Hilton, which as you point out, is poor these days. A shame as it used to be a great place to mark the official start of the holiday.

Have a great few hours and safe onward travels to Vegas.

Half seven and the pop of champagne corks is heard in the Clubhouse, and the cause, a V-Flyer :D

Well done Bretty, hope you enjoy the service and have a great flight and a fantastic break.

David.

Have a great time in the CH - I love your description of "bijou".

Have a great flight and a great trip and if your flight goes over the southern coast of Ireland, don't forget to wave. :-)

It's lovely here, am sat here with TGO and fellow v-flyer Donkeh just enjoying the chance to chill out.

The Hilton isn't all bad, the drinks in the lounge good just the food was poor, soup cheese & crackers and a bit of salami. LHR Hilton much better! Happy days eh?

Morning all,

Great to meet a fellow (and local by all accounts) v-flyer this morning.

Bretry stole the good seats so I'm sat upstairs. Disappointed that Tinkerbelle (ex LHR) doesn't have the side lockers for storage, but still a handy table area.

See you on the other side!

Sorry to be late to the Party (in more weays that one it would seem :) )

Bretty
Glad you found the Gatwick Clubhouse a fine alternative to the younger sister at Heathrow! I know exactly what you mean about the Hilton, once you have had better service in London (Bankside if I recall rightly for you) then you see what can be done if a little effort is applied.

Have a fun time in the US - no doubt Tuesday will be a lively day.

Donkeh
Hope you enjoyed the Clubhouse and an intersting point about the upper deck on the LHR 747 :-O

Have a great time in Vegas
