I've had a PE seat "Reserved " (20 C) since I booked my holiday next December, reason being in have problems with my right knee and need to extend it every so often. Get to the airport today and they have me in 25D that will be no good at all to me , when I complained I basically got "sorry nothing we can do " the best they could do is move me to 19H (exit row) but they said if the person who had that seat does not agree to move I'll be back to 25D. I know they can move people or operational reasons but the only reason I can think of is a couple wanted to sit together
Did you do online check in yesterday? Were you still allocated 20C at that time?
nope i forgot to do OLCI but the Virgin atlantic App i have still showed 20C when i was at the airport, when i got onboard i saw it was a family of 4 (middle 3 plus 20C) so i guess it was so they could all be together.
in the end i had 19H and had a nice lady in 19K so it was not too bad, gues si just needed to rant and get it off my chest.

I know for operational reasons why a seat must be changed but not because someone who is lazy and not book seats until the last moment. I'm sorry first come first served and unless the seat is broke then if you have give them prior notice and assisted them in using the seat selection then that is your seat
I have booked and paid for 2 seats in the bubble next Jan they better have not changed me lol

Unfortunately, even if you have paid to pre book a seat, it is till not "yours".
It's a bit rude to call the OP lazy when he clearly stated that he had booked 20C online and forgot to do online check-in.

I read jfenney's comment as referring to the group containing the person who was given dragonflyer's seat.

We can get better, because we're not dead yet
If that's the case then apologies.
