Hi all,

Having bagged a couple of Gs on VS112 on the 26th Nov, the seat map is showing we'll be on an A330. My question is, what are the chances of this aircraft being swapped for say an 787 or A340 (this seems to the be the most common used on this route in the toolbox). I imagine it's difficult to say, but would be interested to know people's experiences.

Aircraft changes (other than last minute operational ones) aren't that common once you get so close to the flight, so you're pretty likely to get an A330. Keep an eye on your seat map though, as the A330s are currently being refitted in UC with an entirely different seat layout so it's conceivable that you might be swapped from an old to a new version.

Thanks Gumshoe. I thought the refits were scheduled for next year.. so that's good to know!

Last time I flew back from JFK on VS I was due back on a 340 but for operational reasons it was swapped to a 744, so for my inconvinence I got on the flight that leaft a couple of hours earlier and bagged 25000 miles, still in PE so it was a win, win.

That's the kind of disruption I don't mind! Did you discover that at the airport or beforehand and you contacted VS?
