Can anyone let me know how to search for rewards flights easily? Im used to the availables dates being highlighted on the calendar, but now when I search all the dates appear to be highlighted but once I select outbound and inbound dates and search, it says no seats available. Surely there must be a simpler way rather than having to keep input individual dates + class of travel. Its pretty frustrating not being able to see availability easily.

Just a quick heads-up - My wife has just checked in for a flight and two problems :

First, her special meal request seems to have disappeared (and too late to change for the outbound leg). I know it was there as I have a print out of the booking from before the website changes. She'll find out tomorrow if it was truly lost or just the new site being incorrect :blush: .

Second, she checked in via the app, but she wanted a paper boarding pass to be safe. I Couldn't find where to get one, but the site had a check in now button (a bit off putting if you have done so already!), pushing it seemed to start a check in wizard - and the boarding passes bit was empty and greyed out - as if she wasn't already checked in. I daren't proceed to the next step in the check in wizard, in case I really fouled up. Probably everything would be fine, but it looked misleading to me.

Teething problems I'm sure, but the new look is nice and long overdue :-D

Well it seems today my TP balance has now increased by 150 since yesterday without even leaving the comfort of my own home!!!

Having only renewed my Silver membership 2 months ago, I know I had zero TP's on the old system so far for my current membership year. I now see this:

Silver member
To renew your silver tier, you need to renew -150 tier points


Yesterday it was 400!?! My membership expiry date is still November 30th 2016 though.

Mine have increased as well, but to the correct amount. Could you have been missing some bonus TPs from the summer promotion earlier in the year? These didn't get converted over for many people.

At least that's sorted!!

My TPs are also now correct although the app still says I'm Red and consecutive years still wrong but it's profess! :D Now to see if they've worked out how to apply mikes for duty free spend yet

Well finally I'm in.
Customer services gave me my new number and told me to use that. Only enter first line of address and city.
Do not enter your email address you will get an error.
Oddly they tell my my account is linked to an Outlook.com email but they sent the instructions and reminders to my old ntlworld email, but confirmation of my access to the Outlook one.

Not a fan of the new reward availability calendar, before we could see all the depratures and returns for any given month. Unless I'm missing something, now we can only see available departures, and returns based on the "duration" we enter in the search field....So let's say I search for a return from the 1st to the 7th, if the 7th is unavailable as a return date, it will not show the 1st being available. If in this instance there was availability returning one day later on the 8th, It wont show this unless I change my search criteria and increase duration by one day? I hope I'm doing this wrong.

Yes this certainly seems to be a real backwards step. That calendar previously gave all the available dates so we could see what is available for both rewards and upgrades. They hopefully aren't expecting people to ring the FC to check out dates/flights which was the case years ago.

A group of us have decided to arrange a long weekend to nyc in the new year. It had been a nightmare this morning searching for availability, one of the group spent 25minutes hanging on for reply and then another 15minutes trying to get a date and time suitable for eight people. To be honest we've given up now and the others are leaning towards a BA or AA flight.

Really hope VS address this reward calendar issue urgently because they are going to loose business and before anyone points out the 'rewards' punters are of not much interest to VS - five of my group will be paying for cash fares with no miles involved ;-)

Indeed, just looking at this for next April and the results presentation is dreadful, it seems to offer weird dates in response to searches and doesn't provide any of the detail it used to. For example you used to be able to search all cabins and see the results across a range of dates, now only one and the search result defaults to single days / flight. What used to be good was to see availability in all cabins to make a judgement about whether to book and keep looking for example if you didn't get the cabin you wanted.

I can't believe in this digital age that is what VS wants to happen, because it means less self service and more calling to the FC line. That's oxymoronic. Actually, it's just moronic.

Next, I did find a reasonable option for a UC G to the West Coast next year, but then on selecting flights it tells me the redemption is 100k miles. Erm. I'm searching well into next year and aren't we post November 13 when the new redemption tables come into effect. You couldn't make up how crap this is actually. It's double moronic.

No, the changes to reward seat prices don't kick in until 16th January.

The changes that came in last Sunday were to the miles & TPs you earn.

As for it now being harder to search for reward seats, the cynic in me says that's deliberate given that VS have said quite openly they're "giving away" too many Gs to people who spend very little with them.

Put the prices up and make them harder to track down - problem solved. Maybe.

Just did a dummy search for some award flights on a fairly standard "work computer" windows laptop running chrome.

Really really not a good user experience at all. Way too many clicks and scrolls!

Well finally in after contacting FC to reset my Account as the site did not want to know me whilst I was in the US.

I was really grateful to fellow V Flyers reporting the issues with memebrship yearts and miles/ Tier Points as at least i knew it wasnt just me when I at last managed to review my account (which of course is wrong!).

Seems a lot of us are in the same boat - I only hope it does not capsize like the VS IT Team have done.

I've just gone into Shops Away and all of my clicks and pending miles are showing correctly. I had 80 miles from a previous Sainsbury's shop credit on my FC account a couple of days ago.

This fantastic cock up is testing the most loyal customers.

Been trying to book L HR=HKG returns, LGW - Trin return and Lon-NY return and on to Detroit Two of these journeys for multiple passengers. Bloody website means I have to go back and forth, re-enter, re-enter, re-enter to check dates.

VS management - BA is so much easier to book. And it;s not teething - its your design,

That I presume is the same thing, what worries me though is according to the VS app, my 2017 status is showing as Red, which is clearly wrong as it should be Silver as I have exceeded the 400 TP 'maintain Silver' mark:

Thanks MoJoJo, glad it's not just me then! :)

I'm still confused with my membership expiry date though as my account reset/renewed in September on the old system (my old card expiry date is October 2016 and 2000 Miles where posted in October for me re-newing Silver even though those miles no longer show up anywhere) unless VS have extended membership years for some reason?

one week since the new website - first impressions were that it was much nicer visually than the old one but there are so many issues with this launch that one wonders why the rush to launch an unsatisfactory product that damages the brand?

Like many others my 8 years gold is now one year - i guess this will be corrected in due course provided I am patient

But can anyone tell me where 'flight status'has disappeared to? Even doing search produces nothing.
