If you're FC Au, and you have some DL flights coming up, it might be worth signing up for the SkyMiles Elite Match Challenge.

It took about a week to get authorized, but I am now DL Gold (for 90 days). I usually put all my DL travel toward VS, but I've achieved FC Au for next year, and while everything is in flux with FC, I'm quite happy to shift my miles allocating to DL directly.

DL Gold comes with some nice perks. It won't be a problem for me to meet the challenge in the next 90 days (12,500 MQMs or 15 MQSs), and my status will last until January, 2018.

Cheers,

NYLON

There was a thread over on FT where a question was asked about the match. TomMM pointed out:

You don't get any of the reciprocal benefits like club access until you meet the 90 day flight requirement.

https://www.delta.com/content/www/en...challenge.html

A physical Medallion Membership Card will not be issued for the 90-day qualification period. You can access your Membership Card through the Fly Delta app. During the 90-day period, you will not have access to all reciprocal Medallion benefits with Delta's partner airlines, including access to SkyTeam® lounges.

Be sure to factor this into your planning!
