Although not connected to flying I wanted to share my excitement with fellow travel nuts.

I am retiring in June & as my wife & I love cruise holidays we have just booked a 4 month round the world cruise departing January 2018 to celebrate the occasion. Only just over 12 months to prepare so had better get cracking.

What a lovely way to celebrate. And plenty of time for anticipation!

Early congrats on your approaching retirement.
Good luck. :-D

What a lovely way to start off your retirement.
I hope it will be the first of many enjoyable extended holidays.

Many congratulations. Enjoy the planning and build-up to what sounds like an amazing few months. It will fly by and 2018 will be with us sooner than we all realise.

Congratulations.
Enjoy your cruise.
All those I know find retirement to be very busy and don't know how they ever found the time to go to work.

I mention the word cruise to my other half & she scrunches up her face.

I used to have the same reaction to your other half to the suggestion of cruising, I am now though totally converted. We have my ideal holiday coming up in February i.e. Virgin UC return flights to Miami with a Caribbean cruise out from & back to Fort Lauderdale

Many friends have told me the same Dick D, in fact my wife who retired in June has just said similar in a text she sent me while out having lunch with friends.

Congratulations on your upcoming retirement old! I took early retirement earlier this year and have never looked back...

Downside is more time and flexibility to plan trips. Did I say downside??!! ;)
