Confusion With New Tier Points

Good afternoon All,

I am currently a Silver FC member. My renewal date was May 2017 .

Under the old FC membership rules I had 10 Tier Points. I have 2 UC flights (Z class) booked for travel in May 2017 so, if I am correct, I would have qualified for Silver renewal for another year. However, under the new FC changes, I now have 500 Tier Points.

On the new FC website I have found the new Tier Points chart, but please excuse my ignorance as I can't equate the two. Therefore, may I ask the following questions?:

1) With 500 points already held + 2 x Z class UC trips before the end of my original qualifying year, will my Silver membership continue?

2) Further to the above, as I will not do enough trips to qualify for Gold, can points be rolled over to the following year?

3) Where on the new website can I see my Tier Year details?

Apologies if the answers to these questions can easily found, but I can't find them. FGS, until very recently I couldn't even log into my FC account

if you now have 500, you must've had 20 old points as the multiplier to new ones was 25

the VS website says...

To remain in Silver for another Fixed Membership Period, you will need to earn a minimum of 400 tier points in each Renewal Fixed Membership Period. You will have the full 12 calendar months to retain your Silver membership status.

i'd read that as you should be ok for renewal (gold needs 1000) as long as you earned at least 400 since 1st may

a Z return now gets you 200 tier points

in theory you should be able to see when you earned the points by looking at the activity report, but i'm not sure it's working (my FC account says i've got 900, but the activity record shows me with no flights over the last year!)

Yes, under the old FC rules I had 10 Tier Points, then took 2 x UC flights during the FC new rules changeover - 25 Oct + 18 Nov. This would explain my (old rule) balance of 20 Tier Points = 500 TPs (new rule) However, I thought the rules changed on 13 Nov??!! Unless this was for bookings made on/after 13 Nov?!

LOL, you can tell I am still confused, but I trust your superior knowledge.

BTW Where on the VS website did you find your quote when I'm still having problems navigating the new site?

the way it works is that flights booked before a certain date will earn at at the old tier point rate, which is then multiplied by 25, flights booked after the date earn at the new tier point rate
