After a number of years of saving points and enviously browsing these forums reading all about Upper Class and the clubhouses... I have finally bagged 2 pairs of G's to LAX and back again.
Heading out in October on the VS141 (787) and back 2 weeks later on the VS8 (A340).
Not sure whether I was just lucky, or VS have been releasing more reward seats but there seemed to be lots of availability in mid to late October. Having read so many people struggling to get G's to the west coast, I presuming there was a glitch on the new website.
Particularly happy to also get in before the mileage rates changed, saved me about 70k I believe.
Seat plans were wide open so went for 4&5A on the 787 and 5&6K on the A340.
Looking forward to getting the full experience! DTCI, Clubhouse, LAX Clubhouse and if all is well, arrivals too.
