VS127 Schedule Change

So myself and a friend where booked on the VS127 MAN-JFK in June I was looking forward to supporting the VS operation from Manchester as this was where I took not only my first flight with Virgin but first flight all together.

Sadly woke up this morning to a schedule change to push the flight back three hours, which impacts on what we were planning on doing in New York. Now we are on Z fare tickets, which were heavily reduced as they were promo fares when they opened sales for the MAN-JFK flight and the schedule change was only 3 hours so I didn't really expect anything other than to be told "Nothing we can do" and maybe, just maybe a few free miles to stop me whinging

Anyway the exceptionally helpful and cheery adviser was willing to not only move my flight to a one from LHR, but also give me the choice of which one we wanted to go on.

So we are now on the VS137, 11:30 from LHR and returning back into Manchester as planned, which itself is also pushed back by two hours.

So the be all and all, we we now get the LHR clubhouse, and two extra hours in the JFK clubhouse on the way back

There must be a few schedule changes as I got a notification today about the VS1 in June. Only moved by 25 minutes though so no big deal.

Yes, I got the same email this morning. Does me a favour actually as a) I don't have to get out of bed quite so early now and b) I can now book the Escape lounge in T2 at MAN (I'm flying in Premium and it was booked up for the earlier flight departure time).

DL have also removed the few weeks of flight over-lap they previously had on this route as well now.

Upto May 25th, the DL flight departs MAN to JFK at 13:05.

On May 25th - both the DL and the new VS flight operate to JFK. DL depart at 13:05 and VS at 13:40.

After May 25th - it's now VS only as previously DL where still operating their MAN>JFK flights for a couple of weeks after the new VS service started.

Presumably, JFK is the airport that is more slot constrained than Manchester?

It could be as there's also now no return DL flight back to MAN on May 25th.

Yes I have got changes on my flights to. DL from las to Jfk On 14th June 4770 has gone forward an hour. And vs 128 from jfk on 20th June to man has also gone forward 2 hours. It won't affect me so I don't mind.
