Just a curiosity question, if booking a journey with Virgin Holidays, at what point do the miles for booking with them get added?

Is it after the trip has been completed? Or is it when you've paid the balance off in full?

If you mean the miles you earn for making the actually booking (not the miles from the flights themselves), it’s *supposed* to be between 4-6 weeks after you return flight date.

I’m still waiting for mine from a booking over the New Year and it’s 6 weeks exactly now since I returned. I tried chasing them twice now but just keep getting fobbed off. VS say to ring V Hols and V Hols say to speak to VS >-( >-(

Just to add to earlier reply from James, I waited 4 weeks after completing the holiday and then contacted Virgin Atlantic about the missing miles first - who then referred me to Virgin Holidays (with the email response below which suggested waiting another week or two then if no sign of miles for me to contact [email protected] )

....general intro .... followed by ....

It's great to hear you are a member of our Flying Club, I hope you enjoyed your trip.

If you are missing miles from your holiday, you would need to send your confirmation email/invoice or E-Voucher and hotel bill/rental agreement to [email protected]

You will need to enter your membership number into the subject box.

Please note that the miles from your holiday can take up to 30 days to be allocated after travel.

If you require any further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for your active support of the Flying Club programme.

We hope to welcome you onboard again soon.

So when I got no joy / extra miles on my FC account after another 2 weeks I emailed my holiday booking invoice pdf to [email protected] with a subject line of "Flying Club Member 1NNNNNNNNN : Request missing miles " (obviously stick your flying club number in place of the 1NNNNNNNNN) . I got a response within a week confirming the number of miles that would be added to my account (2 per £ of booking but do not include the £ of the tax of the flights, apparently) saying that those miles should appear within a further 14 days (the miles appeared within a week).

Thanks for that. I’ve just sent an email to see if that does anything :)

Don’t bother trying to use Twitter for any V Hols help as it seems their Twitter account is no longer active or is outgoing messages only.

Thats ridiculous. Why on earth did it take so long? I remember mine crediting within 2 weeks or so.

No idea? I think I'm done using V Hols now anyway as after about 15 years of booking with them, they have gone insanely expensive now. For a similar Fly-Drive package with Premium Economy flights to Miami I booked last year, V Hols where asking almost another ~£300 this year :-O

V Hols after-sales service is poor at best now as well :-(

I've ended up booking direct with VS for FLL and Avis for the car hire for this coming New Year and including return Upper Class flights, booked in a sale, it's worked out only about another £150 on top of what V Hols where asking for a fly drive package including return Premium Economy flights - crazy!!
