Hello from the LHR clubhouse. I'm normally on later flights, but got here at 10.30am really looking forward to the chance of breakfast for a change and the kitchen was closed. Overheard some staff calling it the "kitchen disaster" I just thought the staff may never have turned up! I'm probably a couple of months late on this but I was surprised that the "buzz cut" haircut is now not free and £20. wow, that race to the bottom is really ramping up! The new areas are always cold! anyone else noticed that? Lines of people sitting watching the news/sport in jackets should be a clue to the staff really.

Other than that, and the first time I have had a pretty sarcastic and frosty reception from a member of staff standing at the private security channel automatic door (travelling in the back yet AU as flight is full) , everything is as per the norm, busiest I have seen the clubhouse TBH.

Off to LAX with Mrs C and the little one.

Agreed on the haircut; it's a bit petty really. So the kitchen was completely closed? I would have been fuming! They should at least offer a voucher to go to an alternative restaurant in the terminal if they can't serve cooked food.

Also agree on the temperature; we were in the lounge a few weeks ago and everyone in the area behind the bar was wrapped up in jumpers and coats - it was freezing! One elderly lady complained and was told the temperature was "automatically controlled" and there was nothing they could do.

I've never seen anyone manning the door to the security channel; is this new? Normally you just scan your boarding card to open it up?

Have a great flight and enjoy LAX!
