LGW to MCO November flights

i have already booked flight to orlando on the second Monday in November. I have been patiently watching to see if i can find any upgrade seats.

Recently i noticed that virgin has pulled all Sunday and Monday flights to Orlando from November to February. Does anybody know why this may have happened? Seems very strange particularly as i have already booked on one of them flights.

Thoughts?

After reading this I had a panic as I’m booked on this route on Sunday 9th December. Just spoke to VA they have confirmed that they are still flying 7 days a week but could not explain why they are not showing on the website but can still be booked over the phone.

Also just had a conversation with VA. They said a similar thing, no idea why you cant book them flights.

Our return flight on Saturday the 24th also isn't available now although the later flight is. Frustrating as my parents want to book these dates also but i was told you couldn't at this time.

Certainly is a very strange one, cannot book flights through Virgin holidays either. Comes up with BA flights instead?!!

I think theres a number of issues with the sites at the moment in fairness. Issues with flights people are looking to book not showing, as well as those with current bookings finding faults not able to select seats etc after logging in. It seems to have become a bit of an issue post launch of the new economy options as whenever I have logged in to my booking to view the seat map over the last week or two, I can view the seats I have previously selected, but cannot select other 'empty' seats in the same cabin, should I wish to change options. It simply shows an error message stating I am trying to select seats outside of my booked cabin class... I did query this on the webchat service through Virgin Atlantic, who were able to go in to give me the other options available, but not all of these options matched up with what I can see on the seat map when I log in.

I wonder if this is the same issue that has affected LGW-CUN? Has there actually been any official confirmation that the route is ending?
