Hi,

We did this route last December and are looking to book the same for this year.

When I booked for 2017 I could have sworn there were direct flights available every day? However on chatting with a VA agent last night she advised that this route is now seasonal and the direct flights are only available weds, thurs, sat and Sunday.

Is it the case that this route was seasonal last year and I just didn’t notice or is it a new (and permanent) development?

Thanks.

Ali.

No idea when this was announced, but it looks like the info the agent gave you is correct as there are only direct flights on sale those 4 days a week from the end of Oct through to at least Feb now.

For the other days of the week, it looks like you now have to connect through either JFK or ATL. The JFK/ATL flights will be op'ed using the A332's so potentially no Premium Economy or proper Upper Class.

Seems reasonable enough - between the October and February half terms, apart from Christmas, demand for MCO is low and 4 flights a week seems adequate to me.

One of the two daily LGW flights often doesn’t run over the winter either. And LGW-LAS sometimes doesn’t operate every day.

I can remember doing a MCO-MAN flight in February [2012 I think] and there were only 120 pax onboard. Upper Class was full, but lots of room down the back for people to spread out once the seatbelt sign went off.
