G’s to DXB

Is it just me or has all G class rewards from LHR to DXB disappeard from the Virgin Website.
Last month there was plenty of availability for feb/march next year.
Now there is nothing for oct/nov/dec/jan/feb/march.....

Winter is popular in DXB.

Keep your eyes out for more, as they may get released. As the route is an A333, there are plenty of UC seats and statistically, it's one of the cheapest routes for premium cabins in my experience. Not a massive amount of business flyers due to the massive amount of seats available on the likes of EK.

This route is also very prone to PE overselling...

I have been looking at one way DXB to LHR flights for weeks. For several weeks there has been ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in G then suddenly yesterday morning, there were hundreds of them, going back three months. By afternoon there was nothing again!

Something odd is going on, but heaven only knows what. 11 days until the day I need to book, so hopefully they’ll pop up again - and I’ll be ready to jump!

Definitely something strange going on, usually there is a lot of G availability on the DXB route; I've never had any problem for Jan/Feb/March previously.

We’ve had reports of this before; Gs suddenly disappear en masse only for a cascade of them a few days later. Just keep checking.

I agree that there is something strange going on. I’ve got a G booked to DXB next month which I booked before Christmas and there was masses of availability.

Due to being unsure about dates I was checking pretty much daily for about a month before I booked them and at no point did they disappear.

Recently I’ve been looking at making another booking for the end of the year and like the OP, I can’t find anything.

Does anyone have any insight into what the loads are like for DXB at the moment? - currently for both my fights next month there are only about 10 seats taken in UC.

It amazes me how VS can make this route profitable - I usually fly EK economy and several times I’ve paid sub £300 return.

Last time I spoke to a member of crew aboard a DXB flight she said they were selling out frequently and could use a second service.

I've been checking like a mad thing too for the last few weeks. My trouble is that we want to go over Feb half term (daughter away for the week skiing, hence she's someone else's worry for a few days ) I saw the flurry of G's this morning having read Gill's post, but they have since disappeared - however, there were still none for the actual days we want to fly. Interestingly enough, if we wanted to fly to MIA or MCO on our dates, we could!
I've also checked LHR to DXB for May & October half terms this year (not that we can go then), and there is no G availability then either. I'm hoping against hope that if I check often enough my dates will suddenly become available but so far, not even Economy rewards have come up for my specific dates. Bottom lip well & truly out ...

This really is bizarre. There were three months worth this morning, available for most days, now they have all gone. We aren’t able to book until a week today (for March 26th next year) just hope they pop up again then.
