Last nights VS138 was cancelled after an incoming A300-200 from Manchester clipped its wing.

Not sure what aircraft it was but when I booked my flight some weeks back they were all 333’s operating that day.

According to FR24 it was G-VINE, which went on to operate that evening's VS128 to MAN (albeit 3.5 hours later than planned), so I am guessing the damage was not too extensive!

I wonder how much damage G-VWND has suffered with remaining in JFK overnight? I see the current backfill A332 travelled from LGW to MAN today to operate VS127.

I'm sure the UC pax welcomed seeing G-VINE on the VS128 last night. Every cloud!

According to the information below GVWND the 332 went tech so a 333 was taken off the Heathrow flight to operate the Manchester assuming all Heathrow customers can easily be accommodated on other services.

Virgin Atlantic A330-300 G-VINE operated VS153 London Heathrow – New York JFK this afternoon, then operated back to the UK as VS128 New York JFK – Manchester following an A330-200 technical issue at New York JFK.

Virgin Atlantic A330-200 G-VWND operated VS127 Manchester – New York JFK this afternoon, however the aircraft then encountered a technical issue causing the JFK departure schedule to be re-arranged and VS138 New York JFK – London Heathrow to be cancelled.

Indeed...and economy pax as well. If Y was full, I bet a some got upgraded to Premium Economy as the A332's have a lot more Y seats compared to the A333's.
