Welcome back to Blighty.
Wow - four months ! Wonderful sights but also such tempting food on board . Can you still get into your clothes !! :-D

Would love to know - could you pick out a favourite port of call ?

Clothes certainly fit more snuggly than we left the UK early January.

I don't think I could pick a favourite port but Japan was probably our favourite country, we had 6 ports of call so got a reasonable taste of the country.

Other highlights included

Sailing away from Manhattan on a clear, dark winters evening.

Sailing in to San Francisco under the Golden Gate bridge & past Alcatraz

Transiting the Panama Canal

Mooring up in Sydney with the opera house & harbour bridge almost within touching distance.

Seeing Carmen at the Opera House in Sydney.

Helicopter trip over Bay of Islands NZ

Spending my wife's birthday celebrating with a lunch at a beach front restaurant in Bora Bora

Spending an evening on The Bund in Shanghai

Attending a Cunard Gala Ball (for World Cruisers} on shore in Hong Kong, a spectacular event, both Queen Elizabeth (our ship) & Queen Mary 2 were in HK for a 2 day stay so it was a joint event with around 600 people attending

Visiting a game reserve in Port Elizabeth, we saw 4 of the big 5

Two fantastic days in Cape Town where we celebrated our wedding anniversary at an African restaurant.

Being driven through the sand dunes in Namibia

So, so many great memories, the above are just a few.

Now trying to get back to some kind of reality.

Wow, I hope you had a fantastic time on board the QE. We did the Dubai to Southampton leg on her in 2014 and loved it.

Friends of ours joined QE today to the Baltic and we are very envious.

I was on the short HK to Singapore leg on QM2 this year and saw the QE behind us as we were having our sailway party on the aft deck. Hopping back on board again at the end of May and can't wait.

Amazed you can still fit into clothes after this length of time - I struggle after 7 days. :-)

I have been thinking of you and wondering how you were getting on. We are joining QM2 in HKG next March, and sailing back to Southampton - 40 mights. Not as amazing as yours but still a great trip. First the Fjords next month though.

It is taking us a little while to return to some form of normality.

Thank you Gill.

Your Hong Kong to Southampton trip on QM2 will be fantastic.

Opening 4 months of mail was our first task, we are now attacking the garden.

Currently pulling photographs together from our phones & camera in to one album.

The whole experience was just fantastic, it even exceeded our expectations.
