So.... after several years of credit card spends as well as stashing away lots of flying club miles I finally accumulated enough miles to book my first ever G and experience my first ever visit to the clubhouse.

Staff are superb, it’s very quiet in here at the moment with the lull in PM departures. I’m on the VS400 at 22.30. How early is too early?!?

Just working my way through an afternoon tea selection which is delicious. The cocktail menu keeps catching my eye though.... I’m going to need to pace myself!

Flying UC is something that I’ve always wanted to do but could never justify the price of a revenue ticket. Many thanks to all on here who make this site such an informative and friendly place to find out everything I’ve needed to know.

The problem is, I’m not going to want to turn right again!.....

The thought of turning right on long haul is now enough to make me break out into a cold sweat! I accept Economy on flights up to 4 hrs on other airlines, PE on longer flights during the day if I really can't afford UC - but saving up for UC on anything longer than 8 hrs and especially overnight is now our mission. Less trips but better ones!

We are flying Singapore Airlines to NZ in JAN 2019 and I spent hours, nay days, finding affordable flights in Business , because there was no way we would be flying Economy !!

Enjoy your flights and YES - you are never going to want to turn right again.
