Boeings going / Possible VS route changes

Guys, has anything been announced? I think this makes perfect sense to what i am seeing. I have been tracking Virgin flight prices for end of March 2019 into April 2019, between LGW and LAS as we are planning our wedding. As of yesterday all of the flights have disappeared. I cannot book anything direct between LGW and LAS after the 24th of March 2019, yet the day before i had a full calendar up until the 15th of April 2019.

The flights to LAS moves from LGW to LHR on March 31st 2019 which is probably why you are no longer seeing any availability from LGW around the time you are looking.

The flights from LHR are bookable from today (May 19th) as well so it may take a day or so for the new LHR>LAS flights to start filtering through the reservation system.

Edit to add - LHR>LAS is now available to book on the VS website from March 31st onwards.

Yes they have loaded now at an extortionate rate of £2541 per person for economy. They were £450-500 for the same flights from LGW 2 days ago.

VS are using the 789's from LHR for LAS, therefore, smaller aircraft equals less availability in economy unfortunately.

Give it a few days. It can take a little while for all the fare buckets to be loaded, particularly on new routes.

(Arguably not by accident: airlines know full well there are “worrywarts” who simply have to book as soon as a flight opens and will pay well over the odds for the peace of mind or to get the specific seat they want.)

For the curious - flight numbers for LHR-LAS is VS155/VS156 and the new LHR-BOS takes VS157/VS158.

According to Twitter VS are saying the lower fares for LAS will be available across all booking systems from May 21st.
