Hi
Apologies if this question isn't in the correct part of v-flyer or if answered elsewhere.
I have started flying Virgin for all work trips after a few years of mostly BA flights. I'm enjoying Virgin so far!
I did some Virgin flying that enabled me to get to FC Gold in Aug 2016. I didn't fly Virgin at all after that until now and so was downgraded to Silver in Aug 2017. I started flying Virgin in May 2018 and will earn enough tier points to renew Silver in Aug 2018, but not enough to get to Gold (will probably be on around 600 tier points).
I will earn more than 1000 tier points in the 12 months from May 2018. I'm unclear from the rules if that means I will get Gold or whether any tier points I earn from May-Aug 2018 will be reset when my membership year starts again. I've spoken to 2 different VA people on the Silver line and got different answers, so am confused. My reading of Virgin's 12-13 month collection window is that I should get Gold in my circumstances.
Does anyone more knowledgeable than me know the answer?
Thanks.
