I am flying on VS109 on the 13th June and today it’s changed from air Berlin config back to A330-300. Is there anyway of knowing if this is definitely going to stay as this or change? Clearly I am pleased that it’s changed as I was looking forward to taking a seat at the bar but I don’t want to look forward to it if it’s an error and likely to revert back to ex air Berlin plane

Thanks for your help in advance

It should stay as an A333 as VS switched the VS109 + VS110 service to an A333 on May 17th and they have recently extended that now until June 14th.

Thanks for Your response! I am pleased that it’s changed as I would prefer that plane. We have been allocated seats 8g and 8k & 9k for the 3 of us. Are these bad seats been close to the bar as although I would like a couple of drinks I would like a nap as well as we are travelling to Marco Island so I will be driving from Fort Lauderdale when we eventually get there.

I would be tempted to move a bit further towards the front.

Also remember that the A seats face the wall whilst the K seats face other passengers. I personally prefer the K side on the cabin on day flights but the A side for night flights.

Thank you so much for your advice! I had 5,6 and 7 originally when I booked before We were moved to the ex air Berlin plane, but I’m not going to complain I’m sure this will be a better experience wherever we sit! :)

New user here!! I have the same thing with VS103, having changed to A333. Any seat recommendation for a solo traveler please? I currently have 4A secured. At the moment the whole map is open. I would ideally like to avoid high traffic and noise areas, and as I'm very shy I tend to like my privacy. Please help!!
Thank You.

Welcome to V-Flyer. :)

One of my VS103 flights also changed from an A346 to an A333 yesterday as well. The Upper Class suites with the most privacy are those in the A row. Foot traffic will reduce the further forward you are sat as well.

Whilst the is a washroom at the very front of the Upper Class cabin is actually doesn't tend to get used very much as the crew tend to keep that one to themselves. Also the crew don't like people standing around waiting in that area with it being so close to the flight deck as well.

The only seats further forward that are together are 1,2 & 3A - will they be better than the seats we have in 8/9? Sorry for all the questions.....I was hoping some other people on the flight may change their seats so kept checking but nothing else available.

As far as I'm aware, VS only block 1A - 5A on West Coast flights (SFO for example) for crew rest. On other flights those seats are available to anyone.

1A - 5A would be blocked from the word go if they are to be used as crew rest seats.
