I was wondering if anyone had any luck recently with bagging reward seats on this flight for next Summer?

Our dates haven't been released yet, but we already know that we will need to change our plans to fly on a Thurs rather than Friday, and I read somewhere that there was a change of aircraft which had impacted reward seats.

I'm just getting the standard responses from VA as to whether or not there will be any atall, but can anyone tell me more?

We have reward UC seats booked for 17 March 19 to 31 March 19.
Virgin delayed our return flights by two days due to the cancellation of the Sunday service which takes us until 2 April. I have been keeping an eye out for MBJ reward flights over the following months and agree, they are almost non existent from the time of the reduced service. The flight we have is on the 300 200 ex air Berlin so a combination of the two, aircraft and reduced schedule, maybe the reason why.

Thanks guys, I was worried about this.

There are various non-direct options from Manchester (closer to where we live), but non are showing as eligible for miles, so we would need to book as separate flights, and the best flight (via Atlanta) only has a 3 hour stopover which I don't believe is enough when we would need to collect and re-check bags. The other option is to stayover and catch an early flight the next morning which is just a pain!

I guess that my best bet would be UC then? I could possibly stretch to this if I do a miles booster whilst the promotion is on!

Cheers guys

Cheers, I'll look at this. I went on the Atlanta TA forum and all the responses said that it would be touch and go and not to try it!

You can book this as a through fare if you are paying £, but I figured that you don't then need to re-check bags. I'll look at the post that you mention.
