Good Morning!

We are thinking of doing a pre-Christmas mini break. We have been to NY at various times of the year and particularly love it at Christmas for the atmosphere. Could anyone please advise whether Boston would be a good alternative? Not been there before but wondered if it too has a 'Christmassy' atmosphere or would we be better off sticking to NYC? Your thoughts would be welcomed.

If your choice would be Boston, could you recommend a good (4* +) Hotel?

Many thanks!

If you want a US city with a good Christmas atmosphere have you thought of Chicago?
They go all out for Christmas

I would always argue Boston over New York as its a nicer city easier to get around and just all around more pleasant.

I read your post the other way to CHill, and I'm assuming you're after somewhere NOT that Christmassy? I was actually shocked with San Fran last year, just how "normal" everything felt and (being a Christmas hater!) loved the fact that the sun was out, the decorations might have been up but it wasn't the be all and end all, and I imagine that most places in the US would be similar?

We've done both and prefer Boston.

I won't be the only person to recommend the Godfrey. Go direct (I emailed) for best rates - do some research and have a good price in mind first.
