Afternoon all,

Going to be flying out on an A330 on vs3 next feb and in PE for the first time. I was just wondering what the A330 is like as I’ve never been on one before?

What’s the IFE screen like?

Welcome to V-Flyer :-)

I actually think the A333's have the best Premium cabin of all the fleet. The cabin isn't too big and it's not got those crappy 2nd generation Premium seats the B789's have >-(

The IFE (VERA Touch) is great as it's the top-end system; the same that's on the B744's and the B789's.

Do try and sit on the right hand side of the cabin though as that side always get's served meals first just in case they start to run out.

A330 PE is pretty good. Quite a large cabin (larger than the 787s and 346s). They've also been recently retrofitted and now include a small wonder wall in the PE galley for snacks and such.

What's the difference? I have flown both regularly and not really noticed anything huge? The headrest and footrest I guess... anything else?

Overall, I like the 333's. It's like flying a 789 really. Apart from the position of the UC bar is different. And 18 A/C are much further forward. And lack of the large toilets for UC that the 789 has, but other than that - it's almost the same as far as I am concerned.

The B789 Premium seat has less cushioning, doesn't have lumber support and also doesn't have an adjustable head rest with those ear wing things on them either.

I believe VS have received a reasonable amount of negative feedback about the B789 Premium seat, I'm guessing this is possibly also one of the reasons why they will be using a completely new Premium seat for the A332's new Premium cabins later this year.

The Virgin Premium Seat is IMO a REALLY good seat for the price, have only flown it on 747s though but hope they don't start to skimp on it as suggested by the 787 reports.
