So I was Flying Club Gold until May this year. I didn't earn enough tier points so I was downgraded to Silver from June.

My current Silver Flying Club membership account runs from June 2018 - May 2019 (my silver card shows an expiry date of June 2019)

Yesterday I had 220 tier points on my Silver account. Today I log in to find this:

The 780 tier points now showing is correct and is the actual total number of tier points I've earned in the last 12 months (not my Flying Club membership year).

Phoning Flying Club - who basically have no idea what is going on?

My next trip to/from JFK in a few weeks will actually bump me back unto to Gold anyway as it's a return Upper Class 'I' fare booking.

Total confused here!!

Hi. I wasn't able to keep my gold membership going last year as I got married and couldn't fit in an extra trip to earn the last 100 TPs I needed. I've a question about my FC Membership Year since I dropped down to silver.

End of Gold membership year 28th February 2018.
Commenced as Silver 1st March 2018.
End of Silver membership year (as showing last week) 28th February 2019.
End of Silver membership year as showing on my luggage and membership cards 03/19

When I logged in today, my membership year has reset. I have a 2,000 mile bonus for renewing, my TPs have reset to 0 and I have until 31st August 2019 to earn 400 to retain silver.

I called FC to ask why my membership year had reset early. After a lot of discussion, they confirmed that I still had 400 TPs from a trip i took in June that would remain valid until end of June next year. It took me a long time to get them to understand that I was asking about the membership year. They kept telling me that everything "looked right" on the system and that if I wanted, they would have to log it with the IT team. I am not convinced anything will happen as a result of that call!

Does anyone know why this has happened? I am only bothered as we have chosen to use miles this year for our upcoming trips and therefore won't earn TPs. We are planning two trips next year (June and September) when I planned to pay cash, earn TPs and make gold again in that membership year (Mar19-Feb20) but now that isn't necessarily going to work out.

Update - Just had a call back from Flying Club and they have confirmed there is currently a system-wide issue.

There's no time scale for a fix yet, however, Flying Cub have assured me anyone impacted by this issue will have their accounts corrected and regraded to the correct tier status level and membership year ASAP.
