Booking with Air NZ

Hi all,
Looking to book LHR - AKL business premier with Air New Zealand. Has anyone booked using VS miles? If so, how easy was the process? Any ideas how many miles required? I’m unable to work it out using the VS table.

The chart prices it in "sectors" and since you'd have to stop in LA each way if coming from London the roundtrip cost would be 280,000 miles in business. Not sure about the taxes and fees and such.

I'd be intested to know how you get on. A couple of years ago I tried to book ANZ business with points. It turned out that whatever day I wanted to go - over a period of about 8 months - there were NO seats.

So I watch with interest!
