There isn't a single link to post. You need to do some research on routings yourself using something like google flights or an online travel Agency.

There aren’t always cheap deals ex-DUB so you could very well have to look at other European starting points as well.

Just took a quick look on BA.com using 24 June out & 8 Jul back: Ex DUB return with BA Club World direct flights to MCO is €1460 / £1290. The identical BA flights without the DUB are £1700.

1st post in quite a while for me, cant believe it is over 2 years since I last flew VS (shameful I know), I have been looking for ex Dub fares and am I mistaken or does it seem that VS is no longer competitive? In fact ex Dub is no longer the draw that it used to be, and VS from other EU cities are no better. I have been looking around at other European cities and by the looks of it the only one that looks to work now is STOCKHOLM, looked at I class on BA and could get a fare for just over £1100, a one way from London to Stockholm on BA or Norwegian for about £75.

Has the Dublin dream come to an end?

I think I may have answered my own question. The issue with Dub and VS appears to be linked to trying to get BA flights from DUB to LHR so you can sit in Club Europe, I am assuming BA and VS are not on terms for connecting passengers? Using EI from DUB to LGW does seem to bring up fares, still not at the level of the ex STO fare on BA though.

Going to have to do some serious deliberating on this one methinks. As much as I love VS, the BA fare is still over £300 lower!

Yeah, we ended up booking J on BA for same reasons. For some reason VS are not competing on price at all to MCO unusually for next year (we had 2 trips planned)...
We considered the ex-STO fare too - but worked out we'd lose a holiday day by doing it (VS ex-STO was an eye watering 3x the price). All in all it was £1550 direct from gatwick for us on our dates, which we deemed "acceptable" and booked. (STO fare was 1200 + hotel + a LHR to LGW bus + fare to STO - worked out about 1400 all in for 2, so a 300 saving), but I'd lose a billable day of work, which is more than the saving so we just booked direct from LGW.

The issue is now, we can easily make BA silver status (ie lounge) for 2019+2020 by simply making one additional trip for next winter, so I think BA just got repeat business by offering these fares. Me and wife would both prefer to fly VS, but couldn't justify the price differential (even indirect on VS was 500 more each than the direct BA option).
