I know the menu may change but I am flying with my 11yo Nephew on the 5th and cant find the full menu (can find the basics but not the descriptions/what they are served with) so I can let him choose whether to order a childs meal or stick with the adult menu.
Can anyone please help me... I don't want a hungry tween for 9 hours!

Sorry I can't help with the menus I'm pretty sure he won't go hungry. Even if he doesn't like his main meal, he can always have a burger or afternoon tea once the main service has finished. There should be fruit/snacks available all through the flight too.

I wouldn’t worry about the menus, I flew to JFK in UC and back a few weeks ago, with a 9 yr old who has dairy intolerance. I booked a dairy free child’s meal for both ways. She ate in the CH before we boarded. Once on board her meal was served which was mac and cheese, even though I’d stated no cheese ! The FSM said that on the US routes children’s meals almost always consist of some sort of cheese dish

The crew were brilliant they accommodated her by making up a meal from the different options avaible on the main menu.

On the return we ate in the CH, and again on board the crew made up a meal as again it was a cheese based meal.

She had steak, potatoes and baked beans from a different child’s meal, she said it was the best meal she had ever had :-) .

So order a child’s meal, and if it doesn’t suit the will be lots of other options.

Ah. I saw you! :-D

I will be on VS15 at the end of Oct and tend to check on flights on FlightRadar24 for a while leading up to my trip. Saw you'd taken off, looked out the window from my house in Sussex and there you were banking left at about 2000ft.

Good looking menu. And, although I'm late to this party. If there is nothing they want on the menu - there are other snacks always available. Never worth worrying about.

I personally wouldn't recommend ordering a kids meal in UC as they are usually not that good and tend to be the same meal no matter what class( I think). In UC we had a snack menu that was really good when we flew that route last month. My son (11yr too) didnt fancy any of the meals on the main menu but was allowed to order a hamburger and chicken skewers from the snack menu instead. They were brilliant! If you order from the snack menu outside of the main meal service it can take 30 mins for the food to come to you so dont leave it too late to order! A hungry 11 year old is no fun - trust me!!!
