LAX-LHR UC Fares

My apologies if this has been asked before, but I am surprised at how expensive the fares are traveling from LAX to LHR in November in December. I cannot find many fares under $7,000 for a round-trip, which seems abnormally high from prior experience. Am I mistaken or is VS making a conscious effort to increase their yields on this route.

Just looking across the matrix, everyone with the exception of BA is coming in around $6k, you can if you don't mind a stop in DUB get a round trip (on EI) for $2300).....Which is not a bad deal at all.

Have you looked at ex local airport fares?

I got LHR OAK via LAX for £939 rtn when LHR SFO was around £2500

There are flights from 4.8k if you have flexibility to stay over 7 nights
