I'm about to fly Delta NYC to Madrid, (in 6 hrs in fact) and am Gold in VS - can I go into the VS lounge in JFK, even though I'm not headed to London?

Thanks!

Thanks, that's what I hoped/thought too. Well, I'll know in a few hours!
Am only in Economy, so the lounge for eats will be welcomed, then I can then t.k.o. for the entire overnight flight.

ps: Upgrade request list is terrible for VS Au's, I'm position 15/15 for free upgrade to 'Comfort+' Delta clearly prioritizes all their Frequent Flyers levels over and above any VS customer. Which I guess is no surprise.

I'm going to say no as you are not flying to LHR.

Transatlantic for VS is to the UK not Europe.

This is from the DL website

"Clubhouse lounge access: Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse lounge access is available at select locations to Delta One® passengers, Upper Class passengers, and Diamond, Platinum and Gold Medallion Members with a same-day nonstop transatlantic flight between North America and the U.K. that is operated by Delta or Virgin Atlantic."

So it would be good to get clarification.

Interesting and thanks for the quote, but that is clearly written for Delta Medallion customers, and does not even mention VS Au's, who certainly can use the clubhouse heading to UK on Delta tickets.
As for being transatlantic, but not to UK, I will find out soon enough, and report back.

Current feeling is... possibly not. Sigh.

VS Gold can use any Virgin operated clubhouse whether they are flying Virgin or not. It’s an unpublished benefit that has been discussed on here

I accessed the JFK lounge just a week or so ago so they are well versed in procedure

First post so please be gentle.
This is the closest thread I could find to my question, so here goes.
I do not have status in either VS or DL , only with OW, as such almost all my USA-Eu flights are with AA/BA.
I find myself on 2 DL International flights in the near future, the first one is DL1 to LHR, the second one is DL44 to Dub.
Both in business , so I guessing the default lounge Is Delta Club.
I'm not sure how the co operation works but would either flight give me the opportunity to visit the VS JFK Clubhouse?
Thanks

I believe the official answer is no as Virgin is not a member of Skyteam which would otherwise give you access. That said, it doesn't hurt to show up and ask. I get into Delta lounges as VS Gold when technically I shouldn't. That may be a busy time though and it's ultimately up to the folks at the front. Good luck!
