I have a trip coming up where VS are asking for a price significantly higher than the competition. The best price is via AMS or CDG, with the transatlantic flights on DL. DLs website is asking the same price as VS', however I can get it for much less if booked via the KLM or AF sites. Can I credit miles/TPs for the transatlantic flights on DL metal if they're booked with either KLM or AF?
Are the flights showing as AF/KL flight numbers - but operated by DL? If so then I think not as it looks like FC miles/points still only link against DL flight numbers. The AF/KL JV has not yet gone through by the looks of it.
Looks AF/KLM flight numbers. I'm assuming not now as well
they would need to be on the DL flight number.
The joint venture still hasn't got regulatory approval and it is still some way off getting it.
Though that is not the block on earning in AF/KL flights as VS could code share outwith of the JV.

Huzzah for International Jet-setting !
Damn I thought so. Thanks guys.
Slightly off my own topic, but I hope the JV will eventually mean VS and AF/KLM will align fares better. Right now on my usual work route (MAN - SLC), VS comes out about £800 more expensive most of the time in J for a trip that doesn't include a Saturday night stay. VS have the more friendly departure and arrival times but it's a tough sell to my employer to justify the difference.
