Just off LHR-JNB in Upper, and I sampled the charred cod with spicy mango salad. These new dishes are marked with a bold D in a circle, so easy enough to aim for or avoid.

In my experience, fish is extremely tricky to 'cook' on a plane, and this was definitely one of the better offerings I've experienced in hundreds of flights. I really enjoyed the dish, it didn't leave me bloated, it tasted fresh, and the quality of ingredients was very high.

I'm not sure about all flights, but they were on my LHR-JNB flight the other day. One thing which might not be clear in this thread is that only one item on offer for each course is in this new Donal Skehan range. The other offerings seemed pretty standard UC fare (fillet steak in red wine etc), so really it's just rotating one of the food offerings in what is often a four-choice menu for mains. I can't remember the CH menu this time, but I had lam meatballs with toasted almonds and I think bulgogi pork in a lettuce leaf. Both excellent and not too heavy pre-flight.
