flew mco-lgw last week as i have many times before, only this time the departure was (scheduled) 22.15
never in all of the years i have used this route has this departure time been available, i must say i do prefer the later departure, and enquiring to the cabin crew they had no idea if the later departure time was going to be adopted, i wonder is this a trial to gauge popularity or just a one off, as usual upper was full, but when i took a nosey in to premium i found numerous empty seats and economy was barely a third occupied !
i also have noticed whilst booking flights for the same route tonight for january there is no sign of a 22.15 departure for the return leg in February, very strange indeed.....

Presumably due to the clocks going back in the UK last week, but not until this Sunday morning in the US?

Although, that does seem like quite a late departure time.

This always seems to generate at least one post every year in the autumn!

Yes it is due to the differing dates that the UK and US change the clocks so they have to adjust apparent departure times to allow for it but the actual flight time remains the same.

Similar happens in March where the US changes to summer time 2 weeks earlier than the UK

At least there is plenty of notice. Morocco only decided this eeek not to revert back to GMT this coming Sunday!
