Morning all,

The last time we arrived into Miami, the process was very, very slow but I believe that has now changed.

It’s probably a question not easily answered but has anyone arrived into Miami lately, with global entry and knows “roughly” how long it takes to clear immigration and baggage reclaim.

I’m on the VS05 and thinking about getting the AA flight upto Orlando at 21.35. The 05 gets in at 19.30

Thanks

David

Good Morning, David.

I can’t speak for GE but on my last trip to MIA we were directed away from machines to desks & cleared immigration in under 5 minutes ! And the time before, using machines was only slightly longer .... so, I’m beginning to hope that MIA is getting better !! :-D

Thanks hiljil

Looks like the walk from the south terminal (virgin arrivals) to the north (AA departures) is only 15 mins so as long as bags aren't too long, its possibly doable.

It's the last AA flight of the night up to Orlando and don't really fancy spending a night in Miami for this short trip.

Took us over an hour to get through immigration on a Wednesday night in November.we arrived just after the Swiss Airlines so the hall was full.

All on one ticket I would be OK with this connection time, however on separate tickets I would not do it.

I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes at any US airport in the GE line over the past two years, Miami included. Well worth the money & hassle to obtain it!
