As it says on the tin...

Not sure if this is news or not, but I know people have asked this before. Arrived into ATL today and the flight connections security screening area now has a TSA Precheck lane. So no need to head upstairs anymore. Speeded up getting on the sky train no end so a very welcome addition.

That’s good to know thanks :)

I’ve had different experiences with TSA-Pre when connecting through ATL.

1) I was sent also upstairs to use the proper TSA-Pre lane in departures security.
2] Just sent to use the priority lane through the connections security area which was never TSA-Pre as lap-tops etc always have to comes out of bags.

I’m connecting through ATL again on Thursday on my way to PHX so I will let you know what happens this time!

If you are connecting, make sure your connecting boarding pass shows TSA Pre. It appears on the transatlantic leg from London (which is useless) but a software issue affecting VS and BA means it doesn't appear on the internals.

Just get them reprinted at the connecting airport, there are desks airside to do this.

Thanks for the heads up Matt, in the past I have had to find the ticketing counter in connections to have my TSA pre added to the connecting boarding pass. Good to see this is changing.

Also went through ATL last week and TSA pre check was on our boarding passes and as first time on pre check didn't realise that in the past you had to go upstairs. We just followed the usual path and there was a pre check lane with the barrier across which the agent opened for us to pass straight through and then onto the train. There was only a small line at the other lane.
