Hello all,

Well, after experiencing my first Upper flight to DXB last year courtesy of a G, I couldn’t bare the thought of going back into Economy for my flight to JNB this summer.

Unfortunately I can’t quite stretch to an UC fare so have booked PE instead.

Does anybody know whether the seats in row 25 on a 787 have the same amount of recline as the rest of the cabin? This is the last row, with a wall behind. I’m guessing that if VS are selling a premium cabin then all of the seats will be identical. I like the idea of not having anybody directly behind me but if the recline isn’t as good as the rest of the cabin then I’ll choose a seat further forward.

Many thanks in advance!

Reclines the same as the other seats in the cabin however i'd suggest choosing a seats further forward to get your meal choice as usually get whatever's left when in last row.

Just be aware though that the B789 Premium seat isn't quite the same as the other Premium seats in the VS fleet. The seats on the B789's don't have those folding head-rest ear things (and I seem to remember you also cannot raise the head rest either?) and there's no lumbar support control.

There's actually now 3 different Premium seats across the VS fleet now:

A333's / B744's / A346's - the original version.
B789's - modified as mentioned above.
A332's - the brand new one with a proper leg rest rather than that silly foot bar thing.

Thanks James,

I’ve tried the older seat on the 744 before, but being 6ft 4 and all my height being in my legs I didn’t find the leg support particularly useful!

I’m just looking forward to a bit more comfort opposed to being down the back, although it won’t quite be the same as UC on a 5 day old G-VNYL last May! Oh if only...
