Just a heads up for some cheap upper fares - June, July time from Gatwick to Orlando starting £1500.

Might be other destinations but as usual Virgin don't seem keen on telling anyone ??

Similarly there's some real West Coast bargains again this year around Christmas. I found direct flights to/from LAX in Upper for £1600 returning on Christmas day. £1500 to SFO returning boxing day. Lots less than £2k direct out to SFO/LAX some of the cheaper flights involve a connection in SEA on the return.

I nabbed LA for Christmas! (I'm a bah humbug I hate the whole thing so being on the VS8 on Christmas day will keep me happy!)

Argh, this is after we booked Xmas 2019- or we'd have considered this for this year. And too early to book my next "return" which would be to LAS for after April 2020... Lets hope for decent prices then, as I could easily go for Upper to anywhere west-coast at £1500pp.

Still, we managed to (in case others want to try same) snag ARN -> BKK for 3 weeks over xmas on Qatar, in J on the new A350 planes for the second leg (with the 777 for leg 1), for ~ £1500pp (how I wished VS flew here, given BA put the bad planes on this route direct, so I was "avoiding" direct routings)... Now just need to get to Stockholm - at moment however pricing on BA to ARN is ridiculous for Christmas, so may end up using £35 avois tickets.

However, we have booked (on hilton points I'd add) the Koh Samui Conrad for the Christmas period. Cash price ... £800 a night, 350k on points. Not that we'd pay the cash price, but easily best "value" of any points we've received.
